That moment you decide that you are ready to have a child is the moment you are ready to expand your family. Waiting can be intense and disappointing. Often times couple remain private about their struggles. I will provide a safe space for you to share your feelings and work to assist you in your journey.
I will hold a safe space for you to unpack some challenges related to the process of having a child. Some of these challenges that you may face are:
Parent guilt/shame
Miscarriage
Termination of pregnancy
Postpartum depression/anxiety
Identifying as a new parent
These relationships include, couples, friends, adult children and their parents, and siblings. For people who are seeking more connection, communication, and satisfaction. In session, I will guide you in practicing self-awareness, communicating through conflict and disconnection, and mapping the dynamics of your relationship.
I will provide a space that is affirming and effective for care of young people. I will offer developmentally appropriate and client-centered therapy that meets your teenager where they are. For younger adolescents and children I will incorporate techniques that are fun and engaging which is supported by research as effective ways to help children process their emotions and experiences.
My background in public service has given me the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life and understand that everyone's journey is different. I'd love to sit down with you, learn about your goals, and support you as you grow into the clinician you want to be.
I see supervision as a collaborative process where you can ask questions, work through challenges, and build confidence in your clinical skills. My role is to help you think through cases, navigate ethical situations, and strengthen your understanding of your responsibilities as a social worker. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel comfortable learning, growing, and becoming a confident, ethical clinician.
